Vintage JAMES KENT Chop Plates "Ye Olde Willow" Pattern Set of six Vintage/ antique Grill/Chop plates by James Kent. Made in England. Ye olde Willow pattern We are pleased to offer this set of vintage/antique Grill/Chop plates made by James Kent of England. The plates are done in the "Ye olde Willow" pattern. This set is quite unusual because the plates are partitioned in the style of modern day paper picnic plates. But this style of plate, I'm told was commonly used as restaurant ware, The plates are blue transferware, the clay body is white, they measure 10 1/4 inches in diameter and weigh in at 2 1/4 pounds each. These are sturdy plates. The dimensions given below are for an individual plate. Condition- For there age these plates are in very nice condition. There is some fine crazing present. And on two of the plates there is a very small pinhole in the glaze resulting in some small stains. Also one plate has a fine surface hairline crack that show a faint discoloration along it's edge. But overall this set is in good condition. This is a set of plates that were made to last, they have given good service for the past 90 years, and they could do another 90. What a wonderful addition to a collection of English ceramics. Check out the HUGE selection of items in our eBay store, just ! MAE Item Dimensions Height Width Depth read more
