`s a neat Original WWII Japanese dust cover. Made of steel, it measures 5 15/16 inches long. It is marked with number 26 on one end. I have been told it was for the Type 99 Arisaka rifle, but I`ll leave that to you Collectors. This dust cover came from a Vet`s estate, and is in good to very good overall condition. Blue has turned brown with age, t is one 1/4 inch dimple dent about in the middle, which looks as if the dust cover was then being used as it is worn smooth on the inside. I`ve had alot of Arisaka rifles over the years, but dust covers are scarce, not often still on the gun. This one will go nicely on a Japanese Arisaka or in a Collection.
