Vintage Gofun Girl Doll Gofun (Crushed Oyster Shell) Japanese doll made for little girls to play with. Measures 14 1/2 inches tall or 44 cm without the stand/base. Her face, hands and lower legs and feet are made of Gofun and so is her body. Dolls upper legs and I believe her upper arms are filled with 'straw' and covered in fabric. They are loose at the joints and bend some. The limbs are covered in the original paper and I have not uncovered or taken her kimono off. They are all sewn on. Beautiful Gofun face is beautifully articulated with handpainted eye brows and lower lashes feathered in. No cracks, chips. Pouting painted lips. Blush on cheeks. Set glass eyes. Her ears are also articulated. Her fingernails and toenails are painted in a light pink. Human hair wig. Antique silk kimono fabric used for her costume. She has silk shoes on. Condition: All of the Gofun parts are in very good condition with no cracks or chips. Her hair is falling a little and there is a small bare spot on top of her head. Her outfit is in very good condition with the exception of left sleeve. Inside the bottom of sleeve and the bottom edge has seen better days. Critters must have been feeding on it. You do not see this unless you lift the sleeve up. A few small tears in lower part of kimono as well. She has all of her layers of clothing and outer accessories.
