Up for auction are four beautiful vintage Johnson Brothers Dinner Plates with the "Merry Christmas" Pattern. The exterior rim has a lovely holly leaf and berry pattern that's accented with alternating green leaves and red berries. The center of the plate has a quaint Christmas scene with a blazing fire, lit candles on the mantle, and a beautiful decorated tree with a stack of beautiful presents. The plates are 10-1/2" in diameter and stamped on the back of each one is a decorated Christmas Tree with "Merry Christmas", "Made in England by", "Johnson Bros", "A Genuine Hand Engraving All Decoration Under The Glaze Detergent & Acid Resisting Colour", "Pat. No. 185330". All four plates are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks and they look as though they've never been used. Insurance is required on this item.
