Vintage JVC CD-1950 Cassette Deck for repair. I've never seen one of these units, audiogon does not list it, but I think it's part of the mid-70s line of JVC equipment when they really had a killer, bold design style. The styling reminds me of a 4VN-990 that I had and never should have sold. The unit plays briefly, does have output, but then switches off. It also fast-forwards for a while, then On rewind it is slow and intermittent, so I suspect that given its age, the belts need to be replaced. As you can see from the picture, the meter lights are working just fine. Cosmetically, the faceplate is excellent - there is a small scratch below the counter, and very minor scratching on the top of the faceplate. As you can also see from the picture, it has some sun fading on the top where something was placed on it for long time.
