This vintage 1970's wooden Music Box is Made in Italy It has a Swiss made Musical Movement by REUGE. The tune is AQUARIUS. This Music Box can be used as a Keepsake Box or as a Jewelry Box The original Hummel Goebel motif with the Little Boy and his Dog is in itself a treasured and heartwarming image of childhood Memories set atop the calming and sweet sound eminating from a wooden Music Box. The box is crafted of solid wood. The finish is a high gloss shellac finish, hand polished between its many coats. NO Acrylic, NO Polyurethane. This is the real thing, the way good furniture were crafted and finished. It is still in very fine condition, no cracks. The interior of the box is also finished with a similar high gloss Dimensions: 10 1/2 x 8 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches high. With the little feet it is 2 1/2 inches high. I fell in love with the image and the craftsmanship of the piece when I bought it for my son's nursery when he was one year old to hold the little treasures of everyone of his little milestones. We moved and the Music Box was misplaced. I found it, only recently among items that were packed for storage. Sadly,it is many years later and I did not have the chance to use it as I had intended.
