This is a early 1900's Kern u.Sohne-Germany all brass and glass 400-day anniversity clock with winding key. The clock is engraved on the back plate of the clock and under the base plate with the Kern u.Sohne name and trademark. All brass parts, including the tension wire is intact and the machanical parts appear in very good condition. The clock starts, but only runs for a few minutes and stops, then starts and stops again. The base has 4 adjustable stabilizers and I am told that the clock must be perfectly level or it stops. The parts are clean and appear in good condition but I have not been able to keep it running. The clock stands 6 1/4" tall and 5" x 4" at the base and weights 3 1/2 pounds. The Brass case that encloses the clock is locked into place with slotted arms on each side at its base. The Brass casing is also in very good condition with no cracks or chips to the brass or the floral glass panels. Please review the photographs and send me any questions you have. I have tried to provide detailed and enchanced photographs of all areas of the clock for your review and consideration and the clock will be insured and carefully packed.
