You are bidding on a Vintage Kilgore "Long Tom" Six Shooter Cast Iron Toy Cap Pistol This vintage Kilgore toy cap pistol is the "Long Tom" six shooter. It has the automatic western action. This toy cap gun is in good condition physically, but mechanically there are some issues. It does not fire. The hammer is loose. When the gun is tilted back, the hammer falls back as well. All of you collectors probably know what to do to adjust this, I did not want to fool with it, but it could be a simple fix-I don't know. There are no cracks to the cast iron body and the grip is made to resemble wood, although it looks more like a mauve color with burgundy grains running through it. On one side of the grip, there is a very small crack, and another very small hole (Please see photo). The cap gun measures approximately 10 1/2" from tip to end. The gun has not been cleaned or adjusted in any way-it is exactly how I found it. Nothing about the gun, including the grips, are reproductions, I guarantee it. This gun has been sitting in an upstate New York pharmacy that has been out of business since 1971. This is the last of the Long Tom cap guns I found in the pharmacy.
