The bakelite base on this old toaster reads, TOAST-O-LATOR. I believe toaster was produced about 1940. Toaster is in working condition. This unusual toaster has sleek styling and displays well. The bread is placed in one end and is walked past heating elements on a escalator type mechanism and comes out the other side. T is a glass viewing port on each side. The top cover comes off easily for cleaning (see photo). The cord is worn and should be repaired before using. This item is being sold as a collectible and would not recommend for normal use. The exterior chrome finish does show some scouring scratches and also some stains from heat. I thought it best to leave cleaning to a more knowledgeable person that is familiar with this type of item. Also inside of unit shows considerable amount of staining and residue. Toaster is complete. The bakelite is in good condition with no chips or cracks. This is a no reserve auction. **Insurance will be required on this item.
