Vintage L. West Warranted straight edge razor with case

This razor measures 6 1/4" when folded, and 9 3/4" fully extended. The handle is black plastic. The blade swivels a little stiffly. T is some rust present around the pin that the blade swivels on, but does not appear to hamper the swiveling action. The blade is a silver metal, with some speckling of tarnished spots. The blade still feels sharp! Engraved in the blade near the handle it says "L. West WARRANTED." A little TLC should clean the blade up nicely! The case is 6 3/8" long with its cover on. It is made of what seems to be brown cardboard. The exterior is covered in some kind of tape, perhaps to hold it together? The tape appears to be very old. On the tape is written: "Everett R. Parker" who I think may have been the previous owner. On the opposite side of the case he seems to have signed his name, and the skinny sides bear his address: "44 Snow St." (and on the opposite side) "Fitchburg, Mass." Under w the cap slides on is a piece of paper which states: "This razor must be handled with great care on account of its extreme thinness and high temper, as it is easily broken, and no broken Razor will be made good by us." One corner is a little dog-earred, and some of the letters have faded. One of the small sides under w the cap slides on is missing. Please note that I am not an expert on razors.
