This is a great little headstall, no maker that I can see on this. It is similar to some of the old Circle Y and Billy Royal headstalls. It is an all over dk cherry leather with rolled cheeks and brow. These areas are finished with a silver look lace, all the lacing is tight and in good condition. There is a large conch on either side of the brow. These are probably a nicer German silver, they are not marked that I can see, and they have Chicago screwbacks, so they do go through the leather on the brow, but a replacement silver loop back concho if you so desire would cover that easily. They measure 1.5" across and are stamped with the flower and vine pattern and finished with a rope edge. There is also a brow plate, this is sewn in, so I am unsure of the silver content on this. It seems a little nicer than the conchos though. The throatlatch and crown buckles are reminiscent of those you would find on an english bridle, these are sewn on. At the bit end, we have stamped silver look buttons with chicago screws. This is a really nice little bridle, and could easily be upgraded with better silver.
