Vintage Lady Sheaffer Skripsert I 'Tweed' Pattern Gold on Silver Fountain Pen and Matching Pencil c/w BoxPage Item DescriptionManufacturer: Sheaffer Model: Lady Sheaffer Skripsert I. Condition: Near Mint. History : I am unsure of the years of production of this model but my best guess would be sometime during the 1960's. Nib: Famous Sheaffer Triumph nib, not marked but looks like a FINE to me. Nib Markings: Sheaffer's, Made in USA. Barrel Color: Classic Black Enamel with Gold Paisley engraved pattern, contrasting M andarin section and silver clutch ring. Barrel Markings: None. Cap Color: Gold Tweed engraved pattern on silver. Please note this is a clipless pen. Cap Threads: Push fit, sits tight. Jewels: None. Capped Measurement: 5 3/8" Posted Measurement: 5 3/4" Filling System: This is a cartridge fill, would probably take a Sheaffers converter (NOT included). Pen will NOT ship with Cartridges Pencil: The matching pencil looks as good as the fountain pen. the lead easily opens and closes. The pencil measures5" longis Any Issues: Absolutely none to the best of my knowledge. Service/Restoration Details: All I ahve doen to this set is flush the nib section on teh fountain pena nd cheack functionality of both items. Other Comments: This is a fantastic example of a set of Lady Sheaffer Skripsert series of pens and pencils. It is absolutely a must for any collector of these items, it has hardly been used as evidenced by the state of the outside of the instruments. The box is okay shape. They are ready to go to their new owner. It will ship with NO cartridges. Please Condition Guidelines: I do go to great lengths to be as accurate as I can be with regards to what exactly you are bidding on. There are so many interpretations out there that people use to judge conditions of everything. I have detailed below how I personally judge the condition of the the pens I sell. Please note I always list in my ANY ISSUES section any observations I have about the condition of all my items. Mint: New and unused will nearly always be in the original box and will be good enough to be what I would call collectors condition. Near Mint: New like in appearence, will have been inked and maybe used but has been cared for with the utmost care has little to no marking whatsoever. Excellent: Will have some signs of usage but is FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will load ink via whatever method it uses and write. It retains all the original parts with the possible exception of a new ink sac, it will have no dents, no gouges and no cracks. It will probably have minor scratching due to usage. Very Good: The pen will have been well used and shows general wear overall caused by normal use with small scratching and perhaps some brassing. It will be FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will load ink via whatever method it uses and write. It will have no dents, gouges or major imperfections. Good: A pen that has been well used. There will be some wear and tear however it will be FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will load ink via whatever method it uses and write.
