Up for auction is a vintage pair of sterling earrings with enamel work by Mid-Century Modernist Graziella Laffi...they are comfortable clip ons which may be worn whether your ears are pierced, or not! I'd guess them created sometime late 1950's to mid-60's, crafted of sterling grade silver and hallmarked/marked accordingly: 925, which appears below a 2 line mark: PERU G.LAFFI. The styling/design: pre-Columbian looking bird creature of sawcut sheet material measuring 1 1/4" wide, side to side x 1" tall with a modicum of chased detailing on their convexly curved bodies and at center the silver overlay is emphasized with a single round enamel eye in a piercing true blue. Gorgeous and sold as found, meaning they have not been cleaned but seem fine without indication of any type of repair. These are bound to make someone very, very happy! Nicely sized for daywear and perfect for combining with all sorts of vintage slips of silver.
