This is a large and unique vintage, wall mounted Brass Ship's Bell. I purchased this recently at auction and I do not have any specific details about its origin. I do know that its grand size, excellent vintage condition and wonderful loud sounding bell tone was appealing to all of us in attendance. Mount on the wall at the top bracket, turn the wheel and the bell moves back and forth, engaging the original clapper to produce that tone! I chose not to clean the item as many appreciate this patina that comes with age. I'm not sure what the metal is that was used to make the bracket/wheel. In excellent vintage condition, without any chips, cracks or dings! Measurements: Full hanging size is 15-1/2" tall x 9-1/4" wide x 8" depth. Bell itself is 5" tall x 6-1/2" diameter.
