Hall's Silhouette Casserole Up for bid is an excellent condition Hall's Silhouette Casserole dish and matching lid. This pattern originated circa 1935 and is of course, no longer made. I have never seen a casserole dish like this one. The lid acts as a dish on its own with two side handles for lifting. Would work as a pie dish too. The lid measures almost 8.5" in diameter and stands 1.5" tall with sloping sides; like a pie dish. T is an indent in the rim that was made in manufacturing to act as an air vent for when it is placed over the base. I believe the base is 3 quart. The top diameter is 9" and it stands almost 4" tall. No cracks, or crazing and the black silhouette pattern is complete and whole. Other than some base bottom staining, the casserole and lid are in like NEW condition. Quite a heavy stoneware piece- weighs a substantial 4.5 lbs. *Payment please within 7 days, any questions should be sent to my Messages, not Aol.
