EXCELLENTVINTAGE LATE 50’S L.W. FOSTER NAVY G-1 FLIGHT FLYING JACKET SIZE 46 This is a beautiful example of a late 1950’s L.W. Foster G-1 flight jacket in a size 46. It is 100% original and in fantastic condition. The heavy deep brown goatskin is excellent with little or no sign of wear. The only exception is the name tag stitches above the left pocket (see picture). The reddish brown cuffs are near perfect with one 1/8th inch bite on the left cuff (affecting only the outside layer on the double layer cuff). The bi-weave waist band is also near perfect. The deep reddish brown mouton collar is beautiful with only one small wear spot (see picture). The Conmar zipper is excellent and works perfectly (original goatskin pull). Other than some wear at the neck (see picture), the wine/brown rayon lining is excellent to perfect. One of the great features of the L.W. Foster G-1 is the unusually broad shoulders. It is a good size 46, but please check the measurements. -Armpit to armpit is 25 inches -Shoulder to shoulder is 20 ½ inches -Shoulder to end of cuff is 25 ¼ inches -Top of collar to bottom of knit waistband is 27 inches.
