Welcome to The Old Above I sell restored vintage lighting. What I love is bringing fixtures back to their original appearance. I don’t alter them, add parts, change the colors, or anything. I’m very pleased to offer this DAZZLING glass glass glass Art Deco chandelier! The shade is glass ! The donut final is glass ! The vase in the center is glass ! Even the canopy is glass ! The shade is particularly impressive. It’s big! A whopping 16-inches wide! It’s also a pale pink blush! When lighted, this throws off a highly flattering quality of light. The shade has a lovely texture, too, and notice how the chevron edge matches the same detail in the glass vase and canopy! Yep, really dazzling. I also love the star detail on the bottom. The glass stem is, well, spectacular, and wondrously expressive. It takes your breath away when the fixture is lighted. I also love the glass canopy. Glass! Perhaps my favorite detail (I’m a sucker for great details) is the small glass donut under the shade. These are usually lost over time so it’s very nice that this fixture retains this essential component. The metal fittings are nickel-plated. And the vertical wire is new, and cloth-covered like the original. The shade, vase, glass donut, and canopy are all original to each other. While the chandelier was intended for a living or dining room, today I can envision it in your newly renovated kitchen or spa bathroom. Wholly restored and with new sockets and wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS : The fixture accepts four standard base 60W bulbs. I recommend appliance-size bulbs. The finial is a replacement. COLOR : The shade is a pale pink blush with clear glass accents. The canopy is also clear glass and pale pink. SIZE : The fixture hangs down about 28-inches and is 16-inches wide. I can add or remove chain. The fixture cannot be less than 19-inches high. CONDITION : The only issues are minor. The shade has subtle manufacturing irregularities (which is normal) and this includes bubbles and straw marks. The most noticeable straw mark can be seen in image #5, left of center. The shade has one very subtle crack, about ½-inch long and along the vertical edge. This is really hard to see. The glass canopy has a small chip, bottom edge. The top edge of the glass vase is slightly rough. This is a manufacturing by-product. The porcelain sockets and wiring are new. The original chain was corroded (this is common). The new chain precisely matches the original in terms of scale and shape. The finish on the glass canopy was damaged. I refinished this. The nickel mounting disks are replacements (the originals were also corroded). SHIPPING : Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE! Yippee! If the vintage fixture you buy is too small (or large) for your room, it will not look right no matter how beautiful it is. A fixture that is, say, 12-inches wide was meant for a smaller bedroom or hall. A 16-inch wide fixture was meant for a normal size living/dining room.
