A vintage 70 year old Pre-War set with a lot of patina and in original condition. Lionel 1666 Engine and 1689 tender. The Engine e-unit and light work. Gondola 2677 and Box Car 2679 have electric box couplers. From what research I did Caboose 1682 was made one coupler only, the Tank Car 1680x was made without railings and both cars were made without journal boxes. One coupler is missing the cover on the tank car. Because of the two types of couplers there is a slight difference in height, but they do work together. Accessories include: 394 beacon with a new beacon and bulb (Post War) 154 crossing light that works with contractor 154C 137 Station with working light and built in train control. The set includes a working Multi-Control Type S 80 watt transformer, assorted track clips, two manual turnouts, 10 curves and 12 straights. The entire set may need service as it has not been run for a long time except for testing. I am not a seasoned collector and prefer not to grade the condition.
