I have decided to auction off my childhood Lionel “O” gauge train set from the 1950s and early 1960s. All pieces were new when received as Christmas presents. The complete set was last used in 1964 and has been in dry storage since then. I have opened all the packaging to confirm that numbers match and to do light cleaning. I have not confirmed that the individual pieces are operational as-is but I believe they were in operating condition when stored in 1964. I will be auctioning off the complete set in separate lots over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned if you are interested in original equipment, most in their original boxes complete with operating instructions. This auction is for my 1950s Lionel ZW transformer complete with original box and instruction sheet. Transformer is in very good condition except that it will need to be rewired as the power cord is brittle and cracked as shown in the last photo. . I did confirm that the transformer still works although I did not take any measurements to confirm the output. The box is complete but has two areas of some damage. There is a small tear on one end tab and there is an area where the cardboard has seperated and as a result has allowed the end to bend over. The photos should show the details.
