This is a nice 1940's lone star quilt. Good mix of solid and print cottons and a few feedsacks. Lots of color, still quite vibrant, reds are bright, cheddars are sharp. The diamonds are hand pieced and every other row is hand quilted along two sides. The rest of the quilt is hand quilted in lines 1" apart, 7spi. The front of the quilt isnt a common green, not chartruese, more of a pea soup green or yellowish green? Backing is peach cotton, batting is cotton. A seperate thin peach binding was hand cut and closed by hand. No wear to the binding or any of the fabrics. Very clean, just a few pin head spots here and there. It measures 76" x 86".
