RARE Vintage Los Angeles Olympic Games 1984 pin - USSR Bear.This rare vintage pin has depicts the bear/mishka mascot of USSR/Soviet Union for the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The pin is enamel, in excellent vintage condition; gold and colors of the enamel are bright. Great for a collector of USSR or Olympic memorabilia.A bit of relevant history: In retaliation for the U.S. boycott of the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, USSR boycotted the 1984 Olympics. Just months before the start of the 1984 Olympic games in Los Angeles, the Soviet government issued a statement that the USSR would not be participating.
