Just in time for Valentine's Day....who doesn't love the gift of lingerie? This is a THREE day auction with expedited next business day Priority or Express mailing (your choice) in time for your sweetheart's desire on February 14th.This vintage original Madame Alexander Cissy pink flower and leaves print (see close-up with lace trim) sheer nylon peignoir and matching solid pink nightgown. Both have lace and eyelet trim, and long pink ribbons with single snap closures, with Madame Alexander Cissy tag attached to each. The set was purchased at the legendary toy store FAO Schwarz between 1955 - 1957. The peignoir is in excellent used condition with no tears, stains, fade or flaws of any kind noted. The nightgown's is in very good to excellent vintage condition with only two very small wear spots on the skirt, not really noticeable in the folds. Both peignoir and nightie have secure original snap closures. This set is part of a family estate and is an extremely rare find, especially in this condition! Both are in great shape at around 55 years old....much better shape than most lingerie of that age for dolls or humans. The Madame Alexander workmanship really holds up considering this set was played with and washed repeatedly! This set has been lovingly tucked away in a sealed storage box for decades.
