Up f or auction is th is 8 1/2" by 4 1/4" by 1" Vintage Malachite Trinket box . The box is topped by st yl ized Art Deco swans. The swans' bodies are inlaid brass and their beaks are copper. The interior of the box seems to lined with a reddish colored wood--possibly teak. On the bottom of the box is deeply impressed, "Hecho en Mexico" or made in Mexico. Since it is hand made as well as vintage, there is some irregularity in the inlay. The hand of the artist is present. It is a work of art and would display well.
