Offered is a nice vintage fabric panel in the traditional tie dye design of the Dogon culture in Mali, Africa. It is fashioned from 6 strips of hand woven cloth which have been tie dyed with the rich blue of natural indigo and hand sewn together to form this panel which would have been worn as a sarong type skirt. According to the family of the original owner this would probably have been collected some time in the late 1920’s. Very good condition with no holes or other damage. Measures approximately 42” x 64”.
