As those of you who have been such valued and avid followers of our auctions know, I am in the process of cleaning out an old cabin that we recently purchased along with it's contents. It was located on Duck Lake in Western Montana and the previous owners filled it with mallard duck memorabilia. Everything from the towels to the wallpaper and everything inbetween was DUCKS! This figurine of a Mallard Drake in flight as a pin head size flake off the bottom of his wing that is really not noticible unless you are looking for it. Other than that, t is no other damage. It measures approximately 5" long and stands 6" tall. It is not marked as to maker or origin on the bottom. As we continue to clean out the cabin, t will be lots more "duck stuff" along with other good used vintage items, so check back often, you never know what we'll find! When I was young, I used to go to auctions with my dad and remember the auctioneer saying "this is way below the value" when auctioning off a particular piece and my dad would lean over and whisper in my ear "it's only as valuable as what someone is willing to pay for it." With those words of wisdom, and in his memory, all of my auctions start at a reasonable opening bid and t is never a reserve.
