ANTIQUEThe Manning Bowman & Co. Clock Model 922, from Riden, Conn. , is an original electric clock presented into auction, bringing to life the glamour of the Art Deco movement of the twenties and thirties. . Movement and Motor work perfect .This item has a 60 cycle, 125 volts, 2 watts Synchronous electric motor. The motor is not self starting. It has to be spined to start by turning an small knob, to the left, located at the front dial. (This is a technology from the late twenties and thirties brought by Hammond Clock Co. ) I am having the clock on, all the time, and works perfect ! The box is made of wood, varnished in dark walnut, showing two brass lion heads on the sides. The overall size is 9 in. high by 5-1/2 in. wide. The dial diameter is 4-3/4 in.covered with a convex glass. The front shows some art deco arabesque painted in gold, resulting in a beautiful piece to show with your collection in your living room.This item require a touch up of varnish and waxing to cover very small scratches due to age. Since I am not an antiquarian, this description is made to the best of my ability. This is an excellent acquisition for a collector or an atique lover.
