I had a Great Uncle who had an affinity for collecting things over the years...mostly axes and knives. When he passed many years ago, I inherited his collection. This one is hard to part with since there's a personal tag on it. The tag reads "Hot Collector's Item" on one side and "Bought by WK in 1932" on the other side. WK was my uncle so he must have kept this one most of his life. This is a vintage Marble's No. 5 Axe. On the blade, as you can see from the pictures, it has the Marble's name, with Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A under the name and No. 5 under that. On the arm that covers the blade of the axe, it is stamped Marble's Arms & MFG Co, Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A., PAT'D 1898 . The full length of the axe from top to bottom is 10.5 inches and the length of the blade is 4.5 inches. There are no visible scratches on the handle and other than a little fading in the writing and some scuffs and discoloring on the blade and sheath arm (from it's age...not usage...could possibly just be wiped off with proper cleaner), the axe is in good condition. I accept payment with PayPal only. Make sure to take a look at my other auction items. Thank you for stopping by to look and happy shopping!
