This doll is marked, "Mark Farmer", on back of her china head plate. She has a very full wig which may be human hair. (not sure) It was loose and messy so I gave her an old time hairstyle. Her head has a crack across the neck and some thin cracks or crazing on her chin. There is a brown line in the corner of her mouth that may come off. I'm afraid to attempt removal, as I am not familiar with how to clean her. Her hands are wood. Her body is cloth. As you can see her body is in bad shape. Lot's of dirt and grime. There is a small rip in her front right leg. She is wearing a corset and a tied on bustle. She has a slip, pantaloons and long socks on, which I washed. There is tearing or holes on all, especially on the slip which is very torn. Her shoes appear handmade. One has a broken tie. Her outfit is 3 pieces and appears handmade. There is a lined top, skirt and apron. All need a cleaning, but I don't know how to clean it. All her clothing appears very old. Even the thread looks old. Outfit is trimmed with beaded material and there are small seed beads sewn on the outfit as well. Her top and skirt is held closed with vintage safety pins. I had to put a new safety pin on the slip. There is a tag sewn on the doll and on the outfit that says, "Laura B. Wallace." Is it the doll's name or the makers name? I don't know. It looks like more read more
