Top chisel by Marples . 265mm long . Tang 130mm long 20mm wide. Cutting edge square. The tang is rust marked with slight pitting but nothing bad. Brass ferrule. Hardwood handle No splits nor chips but does have little markings of use. Stamped on handle Rd 429721. I have not seen this before as it would date it to 1904. If that old it is in good condition The chisel will require to be resharpened. Bottom chisel by Sorby but there are 4 letters before Sorby that I cannot read read but can see a O & poss B so think Robt. 220mm long. Tang 85mm long 12mm wide. Rust markings and slight pitting but nothing bad . Cutting edge square. The chisel requires resharpening. Brass ferrule . Hardwood handle. No splits but little markings. Some of former owners names but so well worn that this chisel must be years old. This work done these chisels have years of life left. I post by first class recorded. This when boxed will cost £3.65p including 95p recorded fee. Please take postage into consideration if bidding.
