This is a vintage Marx steam freight set from the 1950's. The locomotive is the early Marx metal and plastic engine. The boiler front and cow are all plastic and the rest is all steel. It operates correctly and has minor scuffing and knicks. The tender is all stamped metal with New York Central markings and has very minor knicks. The red box car is #90171 and is marked Bessiemer and Lake Erie Railroad. It is in very good condition with only minor knicks and rubs. The green gondola is LeHigh Valley #28500. It has minor scuffing and is in very good condition. The caboose is New York Central #20102 and is in very good condition again with only minor knicks and scuffing. The set includes an oval of track and operating transformer. The set box cover has been taped and there is dirt and staining on the top. Considerable lot of rubbing has taken place but is still very serviceable. The bottom of the box is in very good condition. Please ask questions prior to bidding. If you want them to go priority International they are covered but usually not for the full purchase price and you must add insurance for damage or loss - we will not be liable for any part of what is not covered by insurance. If you want us to send them 1st Class International we have found there is no insurance coverage and if the package is lost or damaged it will be your loss and not ours. I do urge you to add the expense of insurance to these since we will not refund money for lost or damaged packages.
