**MARX / DISNEY TOY COLLECTORS** For your consideration is a vintage Mickey Mouse Service Truck, Friction Toy. I believe it was made by the Marx Toy Co. but I'm not positive. I'm guessing that it was made in the 50's or 60's. It is painted in multiple colors. Plastic body and rubber tires. The friction motor still turns but doesn't propel the toy far. I've been over this toy with a magnifying glass and I can't find any makers mark. But this is not unusual with Marx Toys. It has the normal wear, tear and aging associated with toys of this age. Overall I would consider it to be in Good condition. As I understand it, t he rarity of these toys is because friction cars were only popular for a short time in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Sort of a transition between wind-ups and the post-war Japanese battery operated cars. The toy is cold painted", meaning the paint was applied and not baked on. The necessary procedure for articles made of plastic or rubber at the time. The toy measures approximately 3 3/4 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall. I've done my best to describe any and all flaws, or lack thereof. Please look at the photos and judge for yourself. The Figure in the photos is what you will receive. Being sold "as shown - as is".
