You are viewing a vintage and original Mason's Challenge Blacking Shoe Polish Wooden Dovetail Display Box. Available public information indicates this company and these display boxes date back to the 1800s. Box advertises "3 Doz. No. 2" and logo seal reads "Mason's Challenge Blacking, Original & Genuine." Logo seal also notes that box was manufactured in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and opposite side of Label includes Model Number "M2317." Real piece of history with interior label (as well as logo seal) featuring a vibrant Black Americana scene. Take a look at the photos of this beautiful advertising classic. Prominent colors displayed include Black, Red, Gold, Green and Blue. Box integrity is sound and labels are in Good Condition for their age (with just some faint pencil marks on box lid and interior label display pricing information -- which adds even more character to this piece). Box measures approximately 11 1/2 inches across, 8 3/4 inches back to front, and 3 inches top to bottom.
