I recently obtained straight and other razors, assorted barber shop items and this very nice old sign. This sign was issued to a member of the Associated Master Barbers of America by the Associated Master Barbers and Beauticians of America. A likeness of the signature of the General Secretary - Treasurer Blair J. Sharp, appears on the front. Other markings include and eagle with shield in the corner, the corporate seal in the other corner and across the middle in large letters it says "It Pays To Look Well". The issue number on sign is 41768. The sign is made of heavy metal or tin with a fiber type backing material. Much of the lettering is stamped into the metal then painted. Sign is 15" long and 6" wide with beveled edges and a small chain to hang it attached to the top. Condition is good with a few light rust spots showing through the colorful paint. A great piece for the collector and one that is hard to find. Sold to the highest bidder without reserve and "as is". Watch my listings for numerous razor and barber items. *** BUYER INFORMATION ***On items I sell I try to provide as much descriptive and photographic information on condition, size, known damage and what it is you are buying as my space and knowledge will allow.
