This is a 1950s Mastercrafters Model 272 fireplace electric motion mantel clock. IT IS DATED 05-10-55 on the original label on the back. The clock is in very good condition and it is listed with NO RESERVE. The case is a bakelite or tenite plastic brown case looking marbleized. The case is very nice, no chips or cracks. The fireplace looks SO REALISTIC with moving flames that you can almost see the smoke as the flames flicker! T is brick scene inside on the metal backing to add the look of a real chimney. The log is on the outside complete with andirons and it has the plastic fencing & trim. (see photos) The clock keeps excellent time and motion works great! The clock measures 10 ½ in high, 4 ¾ x 71/4 in. The dial face measures 4 inches with black hands & red minute hand. The clock face is gold in color and the name Mastercrafters is written on the face and along the bottom it says Made in USA. The switch to light up the fire is on the back on the clock. T is a label on the metal back of the clock that states Model 272 Fireplace along with AC 110V, 60 cycle, 9.5 watts / Made in USA by Mastercrafters Clock and Radio Company , 1750 W.
