There are 24 categories as well as a bunch of blank cards to add your own recipes. The categories include: Our Rich Heritage, Our Famous Restaurants, Men's Favorites, Salad's for Every Occasion,Sundays at Home, Saturday Night Parties, Our Italian Heritage, The Southwest, New England, The French Touch, Budget Stretchers, The Old South, Holidays, Children's Favorites, Contemporary Cooking, Do Ahead Dishes, Memorable Summer Meals, Creole Country, The Midwest, Cooking with Wine, Cooking With Herbs, Pacific Coast, Party casseroles. Box measures approximately 9" x 9" and is 6" tall Overall its in very good condition, some of the index cards have a bent corner. The index booklet's first 2 pages are torn and creased. Included are some extra recipe cards from a Betty crocker collection I ship promptly.
