Unmarked, but seen in old catalogs as shape number 407, this is a vintage Nelson McCoy "Butterfly" Fernery. Measuring 3.5" tall, 8.5" long and 4" wide, it has a pale matte yellow glaze and remains in very good condition. T are no repairs or chips, but it was used as intended, resulting in a light mineral ring below the rim. It also has a little factory character in the form of a glazed over ding and interior hairline from the rim at one corner. Nothing unusual for 1940's McCoy, but duly noted. T is some crazing, mostly visible on the bottom of the interior, but not on the body. Another nice survivor indeed, and offered without reserve. Combined service is available, and I have more McCoy Pottery than you can shake a stick at, so go ahead and fill a box!
