Made by Wilmot Castle of Rochester, New York, this medical exam light has a 12 5/8-inch silver reflector shade with a blue explosion proof glass cylinder bulb cover. This classic "Model 8" has a classic machine age hammered silver-gray finish with stainless accents, and sits on a base with steel hairpin braces and caster wheels. The curved metal arm measures 18 inches and has a spring-action hinge that stays where you want it. The lamp stands approximately 82 inches at highest position, and the base is 29.5 inches at widest point. The arm adjusts all the way down from an almost vertical position to below the hinge box. It also adjusts from side to side, and you can position the reflector shade in absolutely any way you want. This light shows moderate wear and tear from normal use in a hospital. There are scuffs and scratches in the painted finish, as well as a few minor dents in the aluminum shade. There is also a small split in the outer casing of the electrical cord near the top of the shade (see photo above). There are no serious cosmetic or structural flaws, the lamp is fully tested and works great. This lamp will be dismantled for shipping.
