This beautiful postcard by Margaret W. Tarrant is titled "Woodland Hospital". It was published by Medici in, I think, the 1930's. This card depicts various animals, birds and reptiles being treated by pixies at a woodland hospital in the base of a tree. Not postally used. P.C. 1234. The card is in a very good minus condition. Small rubs and creases to corners, a small bit of surface loss at bottom left corner extends about 2cm along the bottom edge, but only affects the white margin, picture is unaffected, a few tiny bumps and some rubbing to edges, the right hand edge is slightly uneven - it appears to have been trimmed a little, but picture not affected, small light crease towards bottom of right edge, which also has a light indentation mark just parallel to the lower part of it, some light grubbiness to white margins, the odd tiny speck to front, some light browning and extensive light brown blotching on reverse of card as well as the odd speck. Overall still a nice card for a collection. I will have a variety of Margaret Tarrant and other Medici cards for sale in the coming days and weeks. Please note surface mail or first class inland mail options are always available, please ask for a quote. Postage quoted will cover up to four postcards.
