The solid metal camel came with others I listed separately yesterday - one of which had a British Bulldog sticker inside. The standing one is very similar so I presume it is the same make (see my other listing for more info about the company). The camel has an odd piece of metal which looks like string round one foot. I can't decide if this is part of the original casting, or if it is a clever repair to attach a damaged foot. The camel carries two rolled carpets and a pannier. There is a bit of paint loss to one side of the pale blue saddle cloth and I suspect another pannier was originally fitted there too. The horses came with the camels - make unknown but possibly British Bulldog too. They are strangely cast to be just one half of a horse (one right hand half, and one left hand half). However they are not identical so not two halves of the same horse. I wonder therefore if they were made to pull some kind of a wagon where it wouldn't show that they were missing the half which was in the middle. However they do have saddle sand stirrups. Altogether a mystery! I am listing other similar lots and will combine postage. I do sell abroad but things must go International Signed For and these figures are heavy so it will be expensive.
