Up for auction is a rare vintage tulip cookie jar made by Metlox. The jar stands approx, 8 1/2" tall. This is a prime example of the workmanship of the Metlox Pottery Co. The attention to detail is wonderful. There is what appears to be a factory flaw on one of the petals, a slight discoloration like the paint was smudged before firing. This is very minor and mentioned for accuracy in my description, It does not detract from the jar at all. I attempt to show this in the second photo. There are no chips or cracks, excellent condition. All my auctions are 100% guaranteed, so . I prefer to ship heavier items like this jar via UPS. They take a few days longer to arrive but are much cheaper than USPS rates. Shipping this way is a guestimate on cost, so please WAIT for my invoice before sending payment, as shipping charges may be less than quoted, but will never be higher than listed..
