This is a listing for a vintage Taxco, Mexico sterling silver link bracelet handmade by the artist Jose Luis Flores. It is hallmarked with the eagle 3 marking it as late 60's or early 70's, the artist's hallmark J.Flores and Taxco Mex and 925. Jose Luis Flores worked for Spratling and later Emma and Miguel, as well as independently. This is believed to be his independent hallmark, the other hallmark is JLF. His work is superb and this bracelet is in excellent vintage condition with no damage anywhere. It has a 7.25 inch inside wearing circumference and closes with a tongue in groove clasp with an attached safety chain. The main body of each link is half an inch wide and 1 and 5/8th inches long. Including the rounded curves on each side it's 3/4th of an inch wide. It weighs a substantial 52 grams. The bracelet is composed of six links. Each link ends in a point and begins with a v cut-out that seamlessly hinges with the links on each side. The pattern is sleek and modern with heavy incised oxidized grooves that accent the shape and form. Deliberate chunky spirals break up the pattern on each link. The links are hidden, very strong, and very fluid. The sterling is strong. The inside of each link curves softly to conform to the wrist for comfort. It closes easily and holds securely.
