VINTAGE MEXICAN SILVER & ONYX SET More items from my resent estate sale shopping excursions!! This auction is for a Bracelet & Earrings Set of Mexican Silver and Onyx. A fabulous set, probably late 40's early 50's, of Stering Silver with bezel set Onyx Carved rectangular cabochon stones. The bracelet, measuring 7.5 inches by .84 inches, has four onyx stations and four sterling stations. The onyx stones are bezel set with 4 domes of silver on either side of each stone. The center area of each stone has a diagonal line carved out w decorative twisted sterling wire crosses. One of the wires on one of the stones has 'popped' loose, this can be resolved easily by your local jeweler. The silver stations look like small coffee beans in the center with four loops surrounding the 'bean'. Inside each of these loops is a dome and t are four other domes surrounding the loops. The bracelet weighs 1.08 ounces. The clasp works perfectly. The hinge is hallmarked Sterling Mexico. The earrings are screwbacks. The stones are smaller replicas of those described in the bracelet. They measure .78 x .55 inches and weigh .28 ounces. They are hallmarked on the dome of the screwback. Both earrings and bracelet could use a good polishing. Fabulous find that can go with anything!!
