This gorgeous repousse belt was made in Mexico between 1920 and 1930. 29 links of sterling form this 31" belt..long enough to swag beautifully on top of the hips! According to all the experts in all the books on Mexican sterling jewelry..items just marked "Sterling" are usually from the 1920s and 1930s. The belt has a higher amount of silver than the .925...it does not tarnish quickly..a sign, also from the experts that denotes 970 or 980. Beautifully hand-made! Marked Sterling and Mexico! From my collection to yours! A bonus this belt can also be worn as a necklace and it is equally stunning!
