This fish has such a Jetsons space age style to him that seems very 50s to me. He's in good shape and has a very simple and striking design that is timeless. The piece is made in 3 layers it seems, two of silver sheet sandwiched over black material that shows through in the teardrop cutouts. The back of the fish is marked with Hecho en Mexico, Sterling 925, the Eagle silver mark with a 3 in the center for Taxco, and what looks like the artist's name along the bottom of the circular stamp. Possibly Marciela? It's very difficult to make out. The pin is in great condition for it's age, a bit of scratching on the surface and a lovely patina. This pin measures just over 1 1/2" long. There are two other items of Mexican silver up for auction right now, an elephant and a donkey. Personally I think that the donkey and the elephant make an excellent duo! Thanks very much for checking out our auction and happy Ebaying. Lauren & MJ Bramble Our Bramble Patch
