Here is a wonderful, vintage Mid Century/Modernist Necklace made of sterling silver and amber. It has a great design and look. It may have never been worn, coming from the unsold inventory of a Scandinavian Store that closed in the mid-late 70's. It could use a good cleaning, with the effects of aging/patina on the metal, as shown in the photos. I have not polished this piece, leaving this up to the buyer. There is a large inclusion in the amber, which the photos show, with the back side of the stone having an tiny tiny "open" area, around the edge of the inclusion. on the front, the inclusion has a tiny area where the inclusion reaches the surface of the stone. there is a tiny crack along this area, and is part of the stone, flow around the inclusion. The amber around the darker center is a light honey tone. It measures approx. 1/1/4 " x 3/4" . The chain is silver metal, and marked Italy, and I believe is also sterling. Chain length is 16 inches.A very nice, and unique piece. Artisan designed, but unsigned.This is a beautiful piece, in great condition. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
