Offered from a fine private collection is this Vintage, Shave Ready combination of a mint, Solingen-made Beau Brummel #35 razor and a NOS Brummel #30 lather brush. The name of Beau Brummel has been associated with Men's Quality since Beau, himself, established more modern standards for men's wear and appearance around the turn of the 19th century in England. Even today, the retail outlet of the same name on Broadway in NYC continues the high-end association with the name. This Brummel #35 is a post WWII example, distributed from Pearlduck at the Jamaica New York address along with it's Pearduck DublDuck bretheren. High Quality. The razor in truly in pristine condition and has very few tiny signs of age. The blade is right between 11/16 and 6/8 in width. Clean and shiny, no pitting, nor stains. The tang is hammered and blued, with exception of the Brummel trademark, which is polished. The 3 pin scales are of gray, pearlized celluloid, also in excellent condition with a silver inlay of the Brummel logo on the front scale. The original pins and collars are in fine order. Scales have been cleaned and waxed and the blade treated with Tufglide. The aluminum razor stand shall also be included, of course! The included brush is a never used Brummel #30. Nice aluminum handle, big knot really packed! Light box wear on the handle, not much.
