BEAUTIFUL ORNATE GOLDTONE & WHITE GLASS STONES PENDANT DROP NECKLACE circa 1940s DESCRIPTION This is a gorgeous vintage Miriam Haskell signed ornate goldtone and white glass bead necklace with large pendant plaque set with oval white glass cabochon and having a large beveled pear shaped pendant drop suspended. The necklase is signed twice, once on the unusual catch with chain and round Haskell clasp mechanism and once to the reverse of the large central plaque, both being an oval blocked letter MIRIAM HASKELL mark. The necklace is in excellent condition with no oxidation to stones or metal and overall having good crisp detail. All of the stones are in excellent condition. The catch is in excellent working condition and does not have missing beads w t is exposed chain....this is original to the design of this piece! The necklace is a good size piece measuring 3 inches for the plaque and pendant drop and having a 17 inch approximately neck diameter. Has the look of a piece of Haskell's baroque pearl strand jewelry but in bright white glasss beads and baroque style drop. A truly wonderful example of Haskell's art and a perfect example for the coming summer wear!
