You are bidding on a gorgeous VINTAGE MIRIAM HASKELLMALACHITE NECKLACE DUO This is a two-piece set, both necklaces are stamped with the Miriam Haskell mark at the clasp. This set is gorgeous! It's in excellent vintage condition too. The textured chain links are accented with geometric, Art Deco style findings and Malachite beads. The necklaces measure 24" and 29" in length. See the photos for the page in author, Cathy Gordon's book "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" w it shows a similar piece and it's value. She had a penchant for the unusual with her ostentatious accessories. She was born in 1899 in Tell City , Indiana to immigrant parents (a Russian father and a Prussian mother). At the dawn of the Roaring Twenties, she moved to New York City with $500 in her pocket, opening a small boutique. Named Le Bijou de L'Heure, t she sold costume jewelry that she designed.
