I am offering for sale an original Briggs & Stratton engine removed from a vintage Model T go kart. I believe it is a 3hp. These are the karts that were widely used by Shriners over the years, putting on parade performances. These were also known as Tin Lizzie go karts. This engine was removed from one of the earlier karts manufactured in the late 1950's... I am guessing from the engine code numbers that this engine is from 1959. If anyone knows better, please contact me with good information. The engine numbers are 8010This engine pulls over with compression and seems to be all complete and configured as it would have been originally, on this kart. I do not know if it runs, I have not tried to start it. It is presumed that this engine will be disassembled and "gone through" if not rebuilt, to be put onto a period-correct kart. At a minimum the fuel and ignition system should be expected to be serviced. Please look over all photos carefully and ask any questions before purchasing. This engine is being sold as is, with no warranties or returns. Shipping in the lower 48 states is included in the price.Thank you for your interest!
