Vintage Pressed Glass AMETHYST VICTORIAN BOOT ~ Mosser GlassOffering a lovely Victorian Amethyst boot, by Mosser Glass Company. Boot is amethyst pressed glass with Fine Cut Diamond design and scalloped 8-button closure, beaded edge detail and a decorative tassel and design on the toe. The boot has a solid heel and hollow toe. No chips or cracks. Extra glass deposit is on one side of the toe. There is no trademark. This boot is 4 1/4" tall, 4 1/4" long, 2" wide. Light reflections on the glass are seen in the pictures. See pictures for details. Mosser Glass Company has produced an assortment of collectible glass shoes, both slippers and boots, based on 19th century designs. Among the most popular is the fine cut pattern which Mosser introduced in 1973 and produced for years in several colors until 1996. The "boot" actually replicates a Victorian high-button shoe.
